Understanding the Changing Landscape of Guardianship: What E-MDTs Should Know (7.23.2024)

This month’s webinar will build upon the content presented in June’s webinar on substitute decision-makers, which set the foundation for discussion on guardianship and powers of attorney. In July’s webinar, Anita Raymond will explain the evolving landscape in guardianship considerations and proceedings. Raymond will explore the importance of approaching maltreatment from a lens of understanding the impact of ageism, ableism, trauma, poverty, cultural and other considerations. She will describe the potential risks, alongside benefits, of guardianship in responding to elder abuse in E-MDT interventions and pose potential questions E-MDTs might consider before recommending guardianship.
